Syrian singer Asalah Nasri is in the process of placing the final touches on her upcoming album, which is scheduled to hit stores in the very near future. The singer had made it a point to work with some of the most prominent poets and composers in the Arab world, in order to ensure that the album finds great success.

According to the Qatar based daily, Al Raya, Asalah has just returned from Dubai where she filmed two songs from the new album in the form of a music video. The singer plans on releasing the new video clips along with the album.

Nasri announced that she is completely against plastic surgeries and the women who undergo them. The singer stressed that she does not believe that women, especially those in the entertainment business, should undergo plastic surgeries just to acquire a new look to impress people.

Asalah revealed that she does not understand why most female artists feel that they must undergo a plastic surgery to present something new to their fans. She added that singers should only concentrate on the quality of their music and not their looks to gain popularity that will last. Asalah noted that concentrating on looks and going through plastic surgeries to gain popularity is nonsense because in time their looks will just fade away.

The singer added that she has always made it a point to always present music of high quality and concentrates on making people pay attention to her as a musician and not as a woman trying to use seductive moves to gain popularity. –Albawaba.com
