Syrian singer Asalah Nasri recently held a spectacular charity concert, sponsored by the Lions Club at the Cairo Opera House, from which all  proceeds were donated to the construction of a new hospital in Cairo.

The event began with the screening of a documentary film about the Lions Club and a speech by the Club president thanking Asalah for her generosity and for making such a valuable contribution to the charity.

Besides her charity work, Asalah recently had plastic surgery on her nose, and has confirmed that she is very satisfied with her new look.

Asalah explained that the operation was necessary to remove excess tissue from her nose, which was  affecting her voice.  While undergoing the surgery she took advantage of the opportunity to improve upon Mother Nature’s work.

Asalah has signed a new contract with Rotana during a special ceremony in Dubai. Negotiations between the two continued for three years, until an agreement was finally reached.
