Aser Yasin, “I’m not Ahmad Zaki”
The young Egyptian actor Aser Yasin stared in four films in 2008, launching his acting career and making Aser a well-known face to cinema fans.
He is choosing his parts carefully, exploring various acting roles.
According to the London daily Elaph, Aser stared in “Ihna Tabelna Abel Kida” (We Met Before) and in the comedy “Ala Janib Ya Asta” (Taxi Driver Stop) with Ashraf Abed Al Baqi. He also played the role of an addict in “Zai Al Nahardah” (Like Today) and he ended 2008 with the screening of his latest film “Al Waed” (The Date).
Aser was nominated for the leading role in the new film “Rasayel Al Baher” (Sea Letters), which was initially supposed to star late Egyptian actor Ahmad Zaki.
“Rasayel Al Baher” will be directed by Dawood Abed Al Sayed. Aser said that he feels honored to work with such a great director.
When Aser was compared to the great Egyptian actor Ahmad Zaki, he was “flattered” but said that he has a different personality and acting style than Zaki.
Aser and Zaki are both known for playing the role of the ‘addict’ in different films.
