Assi Hilani reattributes a more classical style
Lebanese singer Assi Hilani is currently in the process of preparing for the release of his upcoming album due to be out in June. The singer has revealed that this time he has left the new and modern style and returned to the more traditional and classical one. His new album is a collection of 12 new songs sung in the Lebanese and Bedouin accents, a style that the singer had refrained from singing in his previous album.
According to the London based Elaph, Assi stressed that his upcoming release is revolutionary in the type of music it contains. The singer is sure that the songs chosen for the album will prove to be a big success among his viewers, in which he used modernized musical and singing techniques.
Assi worked with a selected group of distributors, composers and poets for his album, which he felt were most fit for the success he hopes to achieve. The songs were recorded between Turkey, Egypt and Lebanon.
The singer has also revealed that in the very near future he will be releasing a national song that talks about Palestine, Iraq and Lebanon. The song was written by Ghazi Nasser and composed by Assi himself.
Assi is also in the process of holding a number of concerts around the Arab world, mainly in Egypt, Syria, Tunisia and Lebanon. He is also scheduled to hold a tour around Canada alongside Lebanese singer Alissa in early June. –Albawaba.com
