Lebanese singer Assi Hilani has announced that he has received an offer from an Italian production company to sing a duet with female Italian singer, whom he is being secretive about mentioning her name. the company had requested Assi to present his portfolio and he requested that of the female singer in order to learn more about her and her style in singing. It has not been revealed what language the duet will be sung in.
According to the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />London based weekly, Laha, Assi is also preparing to release his latest album “Izgheeri El Dinia” (It’s a Small World) under the production of Rotana. A release date has not yet been decided on nor the kind of ceremony the singer will hold for the occasion.
Assi revealed that he plans on shooting the main song of the album in the form of a music video under the direction of a Lebanese director, whose name was not revealed, but the singer stressed that he is a very talented director who is filled with new and interesting ideas.
Recently, Hilani and Egyptian singer Shireen Abdul Wahab have recently held a tour around Canada that was marked with remarkable success. The two singers had mesmerized their Arab audience by singing a collection of their most popular songs.
The Montreal Arts Association held an honorary ceremony for the two singers and presented them with awards for the great success they achieved. Both singers had previously held tours around Canada separately, but this time more success was witnessed by the number of people who came to hear them.
