Egyptian actress Athar Al Hakim was shocked to learn that her son Ali underwent surgery without her knowing. The actress’s son had felt severe pain in his stomach and was taken to hospital by Athar’s sister, who was looking after him while the actress was away shooting scenes for the television drama “Frisca”.
Athar had received a call from her sister after the operation was over telling her what had happened, making her leave the set where they were filming and rush to the hospital. The reason behind Athar’s sister not notifying her in advance was that she did not want to scare Athar because she is known to be an overprotective mother. Despite her busy schedule El Hakim never neglects her children but on the contrary she makes it a point to always give her children the proper support and encouragement to succeed in today’s world.
According to the London based magazine, Laha, Athar had recently refrained from taking on any acting job and had requested that no one disturbs her or her children during their exams time.
Athar stressed that despite the fact that the entertainment world conceived a lot of time from a person, her family always comes first and if she is to choose between the two, no doubt her first priority will always be to her home and children.
Recently, a major crisis took place between Egyptian belly dancer and actress Dina and Athar while shooting the scenes for “Frisca” over Dina’s dresses. To end the dispute, the dancer decided to seek a fashion consultant to change her entire wardrobe for the series.
Dina had revealed that she sought the fashion specialist in order to stop the disputes with Athar and resume the shooting of the scenes. The argument began when Dina was about to shoot one of the scenes wearing a very revealing dress triggering Athar to begin criticizing her appearance.
Athar stressed that she is not comfortable acting alongside someone dressed in such an inappropriate manner, adding that Dina can not shoot the scene wearing the dress she had on. Dina had refused to change the dress saying that it is essential for the part she is performing. Dina added that there is censorship in Egypt and if they felt her appearance is inappropriate they will omit the scenes.
The series revolves around three characters that struggle to succeed in life. Costarring with the two actresses are Tawfiq Abdul Hameed, Hassan Abdul Hameed, Nabil Nour Aldin, Ameera Ala’idi. –Albawaba.com
