Attempts fail to bring back Najlaa Fathi into the spotlight
In complete secrecy, negotiations have been taking place between officials at the Media Production City in Egypt with Egyptian actress Najlaa Fathi, in the hope that the actress would accept a role in an upcoming new drama. All attempts failed in trying to convince Najlaa to take part in the new TV series "Kalimni An Bukra" (Tell Me About Tomorrow) and have her return to the acting business after being away for so long.
According the UAE based daily, Al Bayan, Najla apologized to the media city and stressed that she will only return to acting if she is given roles portraying the lives of great women in Egyptian history.
Najlaa also announced that she will not be taking part in the film by Samah Anwar in which she was to star in with Omar El Sherif, due to difference in opinions between the two actors that led to cancellation of the film all together.
The daily added that a number of close contacts to the actress have been trying on almost a daily bases to convince the actress to return to the spotlight and continue her acting career. But her decision is firm saying that all the offers she has received lately lack the sense of being genuine not adding to her acting career.
On a different note, Najlaa has made it a point to appear less in public occasions and limited herself to the number of events she may attend. She has recently refused all attempts by the media for personal interviews refusing to make any comments. –Albawaba.com
