EMI Music Arabia is proud to announce the very cool release of Azur by Fouad Nohra.

Fouad Nohra is an amazing talent who carries within him a double allegiance to the Oriental and the Occidental style of music. His work mirrors a generation divided between the attachment to the roots and the dreams of far away places; In addition he is also a shining example of an artist who remains solely guided by the dictations of his own heart.

Musically, Fouad is a man passionate about music in every way and his brilliant history illustrates having studied classical music at the Conservatory in France that began at his tender age of 10. In addition at a later stage whilst living in Lebanon, Fouad Nohra deepened his musical knowledge by studying Oriental music at the Conservatory of Beirut.

Whilst based in France, Fouad’s further musical experience and achievements include studying Film Scoring at the prestigious The Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, Alfred Cortot, where he has composed, arranged and performed his heartily felt pieces with a disarming authenticity. Consequently Fouad Nohra established his own very impressive recording studio in Paris.

Fouad has been releasing astounding musical sound tracks for more than 10 years for various Arabic TV channels and International artists.

In 2002 Fouad made his first big bang in the Middle East as a franco oriental artist with ‘Elle est tout simplement une femme’.

Now in 2009, Fouad will embark on another bang with his release of his oriental chilled out work of art and ambient sounding Album Azur.

Azur is where Fouad Nohra brings with him a very fresh sound from Paris to Beirut from his souvenirs of a serene childhood in France along with his painful memories of a Lebanon torn apart by the war. This is an absolute piece of art.

This album is an innovative style that stems mainly from the surprising blend of sonorities: Mediterranean instruments mixed with the latest state of the art technologies in the music production to form a unique tapestry of sounds and feelings.
