Bassam Kousa’s death is just a rumor

Legendary Syrian actor Bassam Kousa has denied rumors of his own death after a number of Syrian Facebook pages said he had passed away. According to the pages, Bassam had been hit by a sudden heart attack but the actor was quick to put a stop to the gossip.
Bassam said, “Honestly I am shocked about such rumors and the speed at which they were circulated over the internet, as well as with the number of calls I have been receiving regarding the matter.”
A number of Syrian pages on the internet social network Facebook posted the news of Bassam’s death, saying, “The Syrian people and Arab drama have bid farewell to renowned actor Bassam Kousa who has passed away after a sudden heart attack. The funeral ceremony will be held at the late actor’s home and may his soul rest in peace.”
But Bassam is very much alive and is currently starring in new TV show 'Tahoun Al Shar' (Mill of Evil).
