According to “Al Maraa Al Yawm” 'lady's' magazine, American super-stud actor Brad Pitt has accepted an offer of an estimated 2 million dollars to guest star in scenes for the second sequel of the Turkish soap “Harem Al Sultan 2” (The Sultan's 'Women'), or Imperial Harem). Differently put, Brad Pitt may be coming to the region's TV screens soon!
The fashion mag reports that Brad Pitt, whose Arab world dreamboat counterpart, incidentally, (actually Turkish, though Arabic as far as Arab-satellite TV viewers are concerned) is Turkish Muhannad, will play the character of one of Europe’s Princes who will lock horns in battle with Ottoman Sultan Sulaiman. These action scenes are scheduled to be shot in the next period.
The Turkish soap Harem Al Sultan, originally aired for the Arab world fans on Dubai TV, follows the life of the famous Ottoman Sultan “Sulaiman Al Qanouni” (Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent) and his wives. He is considered one of the most important sultans in the history of the Ottoman Empire. Not least remembered for his achievements as expanding the states’ borders and putting together the 'kanuns' or 'Canonical Law' which formed the basis of the first constitution in the Ottoman State. Among Sultan Sulaiman's noteable achievements were conquering Hungary, Belgrade and Rhodes, fighting against Austria, Portugal and Iran and forming an alliance with France.
