Canadian singer Bryan Adams lit up the stage in Beirut on Saturday night in a concert that was attended by more than 5,000 fans.
The singer was in Beirut as part of a Middle Eastern concert tour that kicked off in the UAE and that takes him to Bahrain and Qatar.
During the two-hour concert, Adams sang a number of his old and new songs accompanied by five members of his band. After the first set, the Canadian singer addressed the audience and expressed his gratitude to perform his third concert in this “amazing” country.
Throughout the evening, Adams was keen to address his audience and also took a selfie with a young fan, who insisted on climbing the stage despite the presence of security guards. Adams said that he will make the entire world talk about Lebanon and pledged to share pictures of this concert on his official Instagram page. He also tried to speak in Arabic by repeating words like “Thank you” and “shake it”.
In some touching words, the Canadian signer praised the Lebanese people for hosting Syrian refugees to the applause of the elated fans.
Adams performed many songs at the request of the audience, who also sang along with him to “Back to you”, “Cloud number 9” and “Everything I do”.
On the stage, behind the singer was a giant screen that displayed his movements and the moments when he switched his guitars. It also displayed three dimensional scenes from his global concerts.
In the last part of the concert, Adams thanked his band and quietly left the stage. The insistence of the fans however forced him to return where he performed three new songs. He then bade his farewell to the crowd, promising to come back to Lebanon “soon.”
