Cairo Orchestra calls for world peace

Within its distinctive activities, Cairo Symphony Orchestra for this season will perform two major concerts at the Grand Theater, calling for peace in the whole world, according to the daily al Ahram. 

The first concert will be held under the leadership of Taha Naji along with the two violinists and cello players Krash Binif and Hasan Muataz. The Egyptian epic by the musician al Sakhawi in addition to Brams and Tchaikovsky works will be featured at the concert.  

The second concert will be performed Monday evening and will be led by Ahmed al Saidi along with Akabella coral and the participation of the opera singers Tahiyyah Shams Eddin, Julie Fidi, Tamer Tawfiq and Ashraf Swailem. 

The concert will include the musical composition “Peace” by the American musician Rossel Beck and Sinai epic by Gamal Abdel Rahim. This is in addition to the Vow composition by Aziz al Shawan and “I won’t cry” by Saidi in addition to the 9th Beethoven’s symphony. 

The orchestra performed more than 80 concerts during this season and is currently gearing up to release its records for Beethoven festival’s concerts it performed at the opera including his 9 symphonies -- Albawaba.com
