Lebanese singer Carol Samaha recently appeared as a guest on the Egyptian television program “Al Bait Baitak,” hosted by Mahmoud Saed and aired live on Egyptian local television.
The singer is also reading a new film script written especially for her, to play the role of a performing artist. The cast and crew are scheduled to begin filming the first scenes of the Egyptian production this summer.
According to the London based weekly, Laha, Carol will head to Tunisia and Libya, where she is scheduled to hold a number of concerts.
The singer has already begun work sessions with a number of composers to select songs for her upcoming album. Carol is also preparing to shoot her third music video for the song “Keef Bidi Eish” (How Can I Live) from her latest album “Ana Hura” (I’m Free), but has yet to decide on a director.
Carol recently released a music video for the song "Nazalt Al Satair" (I Closed the Curtains), which is sung in the Gulf dialect. The new clip is directed by Lebanese director Salim Al Turk and is based on a woman’s despair over her lover who has abandoned her.
Carol revealed that the new clip is her key to opening the door to her fans in Gulf countries, which expressed a desire to hear her sing in their dialect, reported the London based daily, Dar Al Hayat. The song is Carol’s first attempt to sing in the dialect, but she is expected to find great success since she has become a master at singing in different Arabic dialects.
