Carole Samaha soon to set sail on her honeymoon as "The Lady" closes its final curtain
Lebanese singer Carole Samaha apologized to everyone who was not able to obtain a ticket to the last showing of her musical play "Al Sayidah" (The Lady), which took place at Casino Lebanon and was being shown weekly for the past couple of months. Carole announced that she will extend the showing of the play and hold only a few more showings from January 2-5, 2014 for those who didn't get the chance to see it.
"Book your Tickets Now at Virgin Megastores or Casino Du Liban," the starlet Tweeted.
The showing which was initially supposed to be the last, was attended by Rotana executive director Salim Al Hindi. Behind the scenes, Carole personally thanked him for coming and posted a photo of their meeting on her official Twitter page.
In return, Salim Tweeted back, saying, "Carole, it was a pleasure to attend and you have brought joy to all those who attended the play. You are a great artist and performer and we are grateful to have you part of the company and wish you ongoing success."
According to the Middle East news portal Elaph, 'Rotana' had been trying to include Carole into their team of singers for quite some time, but she had repeatedly turned down offers, stating she wanted to remain free to make her own career decisions. The company was delighted to have finally persuaded the songstress to come to their side, after much negotiating, of course.
The newlywed, who recently married Egyptian businessman Walid Mustafa, had postponed her honeymoon for the sake of her play. She had previously scheduled to show her play before her marriage, but due to an injury that left her bed rest for several months, she was forced to delay it. After the final showing, Carole and her hubby plan to go on their long awaited honeymoon, which was revealed to include a stop in Egypt.
