tabloid! chatted to Chris Daughtry ahead of his band’s performance on Friday at the annual Gulf Bike Week.
Chris Daughtry gears up for Gulf Bike Week

Q:If you weren’t a rockstar, what would you be?
A:I had many aspirations growing up. I wanted to be a comic book artist. I wanted to be an actor. Everything was some sort of artistic outlook. I would be happy doing any of those things as opposed to working where I was, at a car dealership.
Q: Favourite Daughtry song?
A: I am so proud of them all. But if I had to pick one song that I have the most fun on stage performing it would either be Outta My Head or Break the Spell.
Q: Song you’ve been listening to on a loop?
A: A song I’ve been listening to a lot lately is Try by Pink.
Q: Favourite Idol winner?
A: I am good friends with both Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood. I love them both dearly and think they are both incredible artists who’ve done extremely well for themselves. I have worked with Kelly on a couple of things that haven’t really worked out. Her voice is absolutely second to none so I’ll go with Kelly.
Q: Favourite artist of this era?
A: Trying to think, this is a tough one. I love Needtobreathe. Great band.
