Concerts, films, plays at Egyptian Int’l Book Forum

All sectors at the Egyptian Ministry of Culture will participate in the cultural and art activities of the International Book Forum to be organized by the ministry of culture at Mahki al Qala’a Theater between July 20-August 10, according to the daily al Ahram. 

The Minister of Culture, Farouq Hosni, announced that the Art Academy would participate in the forum by screening graduation films for the Cinema Institute students and concerts to be performed by Umm Kulthoum Troupe for Arab Music, Conservator and Ballet shows troupes. 

The Opera House will participate with the Arab Music Troupe while the pop and show sector will participate with the two plays al Malek Lear (King Lear) and Lan Tasqot al Quds (Jerusalem won’t fall). 

The Formation Arts’ sector will participate in the forum with a fair about the modern Egyptian art while the Book and National Documents’ House will participate through a show about July Revolution and Palestine. The Culture Palaces and Houses in Governorates will participate with its Pop Art Show troupes and the General Book Authority will participate with poem features to be performed by prominent Egyptian and Arab poets -- Albawaba.com
