An Egyptian court decided to postpone young Egyptian actor Ahmad Fishawi’s hearing for the complaint he submitted against Hind Hamdi Hinawi, who claims that she is secretly married to him, until September. Ahmad demanded that Hind be prosecuted for wrongfully accusing him of such a marriage and requested that a restraining order be placed on her.
The court had decided to postpone the trial because Hind did not attend the hearing, and neither she nor her lawyer were previously notified of the trial date. Sources that Hind has been preoccupied with her health condition and pregnancy and is due to give birth in October.
It was revealed that Hind had filed another complaint against Ahmad and has new witnesses that she wishes to talk during the trial.
Fishawi, who is accused of getting married to Hind under civil law, was confronted with Hind’s father who revealed that he plans on appealing to the police to reopen the file and repeat the investigation with his daughter. Hind’s father claims that he has new documents and witnesses that will change the course of the case dramatically.
The father made it clear that he has romantic letters with Ahmad's hand writing to his daughter, which contradicts what Ahmad’s insistence that nothing is between them. He also referred that there were some eyewitnesses to the negotiations between the two parties regarding a secret wedding.
Fadia Fahmi, a friend of Hinawi's family who works as an office manager atEgypt Air in Frankfurt came back to Cairo to testify in the case. According to Fadia, she had known about the secret marriage between Ahmad and Hind because Hind's mother told her about the whole issue and asked her to mediate between the two parties.
Hind's father disclosed earlier that he is not honored if Ahmad married his daughter; however he is suing him to prove the fatherhood of the baby. Young Ahmad denied getting married to Hind under civil law, a marriage that is not officially registered, and asserted that he had never asked to marry her. Hind, décor designer, reported to the police that Fishawi had married her and accused him of asking her to abort the child after he discovered that she was pregnant.
Fishawi stressed in the statement he gave at the police station that charges against him are not true, asserting that he is a religious person, and would never think of doing anything against the teachings of Islam.
Hind insisted on her complaint assuring the police that young Fishawi was responsible of her five-month pregnancy and demanded that tests on DNA should be done to prove the biological father of the child. –Albawaba.com
