Dalal Abdul Aziz kidnapped from hospital
Egyptian director Abraham Al Shaqaqtiri was forced to call in security at the Ahmad Maher hospital to hold back fans away from Egyptian actress Dala Abdul Aziz. A crowd of people at the hospital stormed at the actress, while she was shooting scenes from her new drama series “Ikhtitaf” (Kidnapped) at the hospital, asking for her autograph and wanting to shake her hand, the Egyptian daily Al Akhbar reported.
The actress had to be protected throughout the day while shooting the scenes. Security forces were spread throughout the hospital to maintain control over the situation, which caused the director to shoot several scenes more than once, due to the crowd.
Egyptian comedian star Samir Ghanem and his wife actress Dalal Abdul Aziz have reunited, after a 12-year absence on the small screen, through the new TV series “Sit Sittat Jannanu Farahat” (Six Ladies Drove Farahat Mad), according to the Kuwaiti daily Rai Al Aam newspaper.
In June The Egyptian writer Atef Bishai scripted a series that explored the life history of the late writer May Ziadeh, who owned the largest cultural saloon in the Arab world. Dalal was chosen to perform the role as May Ziadeh. The series tracked the life history of the late writer (1886-1941) since birth and her immigration to Egypt as she was born to a Lebanese father. This is in addition to her career beginning and writings including “Girl Opportunities”, “Smiles and Tears” and “Desert Researcher” and others.
On a different note, the actress began shooting scenes in August for the “Al-Bashkar” played the role of an alchemist, taking command of the village she settles in, she struggled to convince the villagers that her so-called healing powers and future foretelling are real.
Before the shooting of the movie, Dalal was offered another part in the script, Bashkar’s wife, yet not of any interest to her, ‘Falling in love with the personality is what counts’, she states in one interview though it is only a small part in the overall script.
Dalal was also involved with her husband Samir Ghanem, reuniting after a 12-year absence on the small screen, in the new TV series “Sit Sittat Jannanu Farahat” (Six Ladies Drove Farahat Mad).
