“I Have Come from the Stone” is the title of a new opera written by Mahmoud Abdul Karim and directed by Abed Fahd, according to Syria Times.
The opera, which is considered a “greeting from Damascus to the Palestinian Intifada,” is a mixture between theatrical scenes and poems by outstanding Arab poets, such as Mahmoud Darwish, Samih al-Qassem and Nizar Qabbani.
It glorifies the resistance acts put up by the Intifada youngsters in confrontation of the Israeli occupation authorities which pursue a policy of aggression and savage practices against the unarmed Palestinians, said the paper – Albawaba.com
