Dancer to star in Yousef Shahin’s new film
The renowned Egyptian director Yousef Shahin is keen on selecting a new face in most of his films. In his new film Ghadab (anger) he tapped the ballet dancer Ahmed Yahya to play the starring role as Shahin when he was young during the university study in the USA, according to the Arabic daily al Hayat.
The film takes place during the period between 1946-2001 and tackles Shahin’s links with the west especially the United States where it started with love and ended with anger or hatred for the United States for many reasons including its bias in favor of Israel.
The film’s final script is being wrapped up now and it has been decided to tap Yusra and Noor al Sharif to play the starring roles. The film will be shot in a number of cities including Los Angeles, Paris, Alexandria, Rome and Cairo -- Albawaba.com
