Diana Haddad accepts Haifa Wahbi’s apology

Lebanese singer Diana Haddad explained that Haifa Wahbi failed to publicly congratulate her on her latest album, but later apologized. Diana feels Haifa is a good person at heart, and her apology has given her respect for Haifa.
Haddad also offered her opinion regarding the power the press. She blames the media for making stars out of unqualified people, stating the publicity granted to singers is often the driving force behind their success. The singer claims to personally know several female singers who possess little talent, however the media helped them build solid careers based on their looks alone.
Haddad revealed that she is not a fan of Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram, but recognizes that Nancy was able to achieve significant success in a short time period.
According to the London based weekly, Sayidaty, Haddad is considering entering the acting world through the new film “Shu’ori Nahitak” (My Feelings Towards You) written by Fadwa Mohammad and to be directed by Saleem Al Bazz.
The singer was very impressed with the script, but has yet to officially accept the leading role, and the remaining cast has yet to be chosen.
The singer hopes her first experience in the acting world will bolster her career. She believes an artist should not appear in all media sources, but rather should try and stay away from the spotlight to make fans even more anxious to catch a glimpse of the star.
