Egyptian lawyer Samir Sabri announced that his client Hussam Abu Al Futooh, who is charged with video taping pornographic films of women one of which is former belly-dancer Dina without their knowledge, was proven innocent by Dina's testimony in court. Samir said that when Dina confessed to have been married in secrecy to Hussam in 1993 and has had no contact with him ever since, it proved that his client is innocent of all charges against him.

According to Laha magazine, Samir added that Dina admitted to never being alone with Hussam for the past ten years and had only run into him on public occasion and during his daughter's wedding. Samir said that this fact means that the charges against Hussam for filming Dina must be dropped since the period of time that has passed makes the case invalid for trial. After the court had made its verdict, Samir pointed out Dina's testimony, which was overlooked and was in fact the key to freeing Hussam of all charges.

The lawyer also pointed out that the rumor about Hussam filming women in obscene circumstances and without their knowledge is a lie and holds no ground. He demanded all charges against his client being dropped for lack of solid evidence. He added that the spy equipment which were found in Hussam's apartment and were allegedly used for filming women, belonged to a European man who worked with Hussam which also drops charges against him for smuggling such gadgets.

A Cairo court had sentenced Abu El Futooh to a three-year prison term after he was found guilty of violating the essential rights of his previous spouses using spy detecting gadgets to film them while going to bed with them. His last wife was former Egyptian belly dancer Dina, who had filed a lawsuit against Abu Al Futooh for violating her rights while she was married to him and filming pornographic and obscene images without her knowledge. Dina stressed that she will not rest until she sees Hussam behind bars.

Dina was one of the main witnesses at Hussam's trial, and it was her testimony that gave the verdict in her favor. Dina said that the films Hussam made were too personal and private and should have never been leaked to the public. She admitted being married to him in secrecy saying that does not give him the right to violate her God given right as a wife.

Hussam has been indicted by the Cairo Security Court for his involvement in a number of scandals with dancers and wives of famous figures. He also faced charges for possession of illegal spying devices that he has used to record women in inappropriate circumstances and then using what he had recorded to blackmail them. Hussam was also found guilty of embezzlement and fraud.

Late last year rumors started surfacing about Dina's involvement in pornographic films, when a number of videotapes were found in Abu Al Futooh's apartment containing obscene and provocative scenes of her. –Albawaba.com
