Director Ahmed Khader has not decided yet who will perform the role of the late artist Suad Hosni, the so-called Cinderella of Arab cinema, in an upcoming film, but is circulating the famous glass slipper.
Khader reportedly considers both Hanan Turk and Muna Zaki qualified for the part.
Meanwhile, actress Ghada Rajab has been tapped for the role of Hosni’s sister, the singer Najat Al Saghira.
Young Hani Salameh will perform the character of the renowned Egyptian actor Hussein Fahmi, who costarred in nine films with the late Hosni.
“The shooting will be between Hussein, Mukattam and Egypt Studio on the one hand and Alexandria, Paris and London on the other. Shooting the 33-episode series, which will cost 6 million pounds, will take six months, after which it will be ready for airing in Ramadan 2002,” Khader told the UAE daily Al Bayan.
“We have not yet decided on the name, but everybody agrees on Cinderella,” added Khader – Albawaba.com
