Dolly Shaheen wants nothing to do with “Adham Al Sharqawi”
The office of the Lebanese artist Dolly Shaheen released a memo expressing her regret over her role in the television drama series “Adham Al Sharqawi” due to conflicts between her and the makers of the series.
In the memo Shaheen said the makers of the series did not follow the conditions of her contract, and that viewers have the right to know the details of the conflict to make a fair judgment reported the London daily Elaph.
According to the contract Shaheen’s name was supposed to appear second, after actor Muhammad Rajab in the credits, but her name appeared fourth, said Shaheen.
Shaheen also claims that she was supposed to travel to Syria for filming, but the scenes were canceled for unknown reasons.
The omitted scenes affect the continuity of the story, said Shaheen, asserting that most of her scenes were either changed for omitted without her consent.
Shaheen asserts there were several technical and directing mistakes during the making of the series.
At the end of the memo Shaheen said that she “wants nothing to do with the drama series Adham Al Sharqawi.” She also wants her name removed the series and she apologized to viewers and asked them to understand her position.
Shaheen said that will be more careful in choosing the right series in the future.
