Prominent Egyptian singer Hani Shaker was honored by Egypt’s First Lady Suzan Mubarak at a prestigious charitable event earlier this month. The event was attended by over 1500 VIPs from Egypt and Jordan.

The singer performed a selection of his most popular hits and expressed gratitude for the award, which he considers to be a great honor. The singer donated his entire wage to charity.

Shaker had worked hard on making his big comeback to the scenes after an absence that lasted over a year and a half. The singer had held a grand performance at the Arabic Music Festival, in addition to concerts on New Year’s Eve as a means to pave way for his return.

Hani has as well signed with a new production company ‘Art Line Productions’ and his upcoming album will be produced by them and the distribution will be done by the company ‘High Quality’.

The singer has worked with some of the most prominent poets and composers.

Hani had joined the new production company after he announced that he will not join production company ‘Rotana.’

“Rotana does not treat its members fairly and does not distinguish between prominent singers and those who are new to the trade,” said Hani, claiming of ‘Rotana’s’ more than 150 singers, Egyptian singers do not get their rightful share of promotion.
