Egyptian director Kamlah Abu Thikri of the upcoming film "Sana Ola Hub" (First Year Love) has nominated Lebanese actress Noor for her first leading role in an Egyptian film. Noor has over the past couple of years proven great success in the Egyptian cinema by playing in several films alongside well-known Egyptian actors.
According to the London based Elaph, Noor has been given the leading role in the new film, due to the fact that Kamlah believes that she has proved herself very capable of such a responsibility looking at the success in previous films.
In the new film, Noor will play the role of a young lady born to an Italian mother and an Egyptian father who while visiting Cairo encounters several mishaps due to the difference in culture between Egypt and Italy. The extent of the culture shock the young lady faces in Egypt is so dramatic that she finds herself lost amidst her own people. The film written by Samira Muhsin will also costar Ahmad Izz and Dalia Al Buhairi.
Noor, who is not well known in Lebanon, kicked off her acting career in Egypt almost two years ago, with the movie "Short Wa Fanela Wa Cap" (A Short, a T-Shirt and a Cap) alongside Egyptian actor Ahmed Al Sakka. – Albawaba.com
