Egypt unites singers from around the globe

The Ninth International Cairo Festival will kickoff next month featuring some of the most prominent Arab and Western singers from around the world. The singers were carefully selected by the organizing committee of the festival to ensure its success.  

 

Egyptian singer Angham and Abdul Sherif have been chosen for the opening ceremony of the festival, and Ghada Rajam and Mohammad Al Hilo for the closing ceremony. The closing ceremony will also feature a section for the awarding the winners that were chosen from the Arab and Western competitions. 

 

The judging committee for the festival will keep accepting participants for the festival until the end of June from the Arab and Western worlds. The western countries that will be taking part in the event are Australia, Canada, Russia, England, Greece, Ireland, France, the Philippines, Italy and Sweden. From the Arab world, Qatar, Oman, Morocco, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Yemen, and Algeria, will be participating in the festival. 

 

Ambassador Salah Salim, head of the festival’s administration, has made agreements with international bands to take part in the events of the festival. In addition to the lineup of events to take place, the organizers of the festival have decided to feature for the first time throughout the festival’s history, a night that will bring all the Arab singers like Hani Shaker, Mohammad Abdo, Nabil Shuail, Nawal Al Zoughbi, Samira Said, and many more, at the same time for a grand performance. 

 

The Egyptian surprise for this year’s festival will be a performance by the Opera Ballet that will perform classical and modern dances at the same time. The organizers have begun marketing and selling tickets for the events that will take place throughout different Egyptian cities. –Albawaba.com
