Egyptian actor Alaa Wali El Din passes away at age 40

Egyptian actor Alaa Wali El Din passed away at age 40 on the first day of the Muslim holiday Eid Al Adha. The actor had just returned from Brazil to spend the holidays with his family when he went into a coma after his sugar level became high as he was suffering from diabetes.  

 

According to the London based daily, Al Sharq Al Awsat, Alaa had decided to cut his trip to Brazil short, where he was shooting scenes for his latest film “Arabi Ta’rifo” (It’s Arabic) costarring Hanan Turk, to come to Egypt to be with his family. The actor has recently completed shooting the scenes for another movie “Fatih Aynak” (Open Your Eyes), and was supposed to begin rehearsals for the play “Lama Baba Yenam” (When Dad Sleeps). 

 

Alaa Began his acting career at the age of 20 taking on small roles in films and plays. His first interaction in the cinema was with Egyptian comedian Adel Imam, who gave Alaa the push to be able to star in films taking more important roles. He acted in “Al Irhab Wal Kabab” (Terrorism and Kabab), “Bakheet Wa Adeelah”, “Al Wali” (His Highness) and others with Adel Imam. He later moved on to costarring with a number of films with Mohammad Huneidi as the two became an inseparable duo for some time. –Albawaba.com
