Tonight, Egypt announces the opening of the 13th Annual Ismalia Performing Arts Festival. The festival involves the participation of 24 troupes from 17 countries; although troupes from South Africa, Italy, Bulgaria, Bosnia, Ukraine, Poland, and Guinea call of their participation, the impact of the festival will have no affect on its unique performance.
The festival productions will be spread at nine theaters throughout Ismalia, and some will be situated in Cairo’s Opera House, Al-Asher Min Ramadan Theater, and Al-Sweiss Theater.
‘An International Center for the media has been setup,’ Mr. Elwan Ahmad, the Mayor’s General Secretary pointed out, where local and international reporters can log-in through the internet for information concerning the latest achievements and scheduled performances.
