Egyptian singer Ehab Tawfiq is currently preoccupied these days with shooting two new music videos from his latest album “Leeh El Khisam” (Why the Arguing). The first song “Albi Daa’” (The Heart Beats), written by Ahmad Shatta and composed by Ahmad Farhat, will be shot in Cairo-Egypt under the direction of Ahmad Al Mahdi.
According to the UAE based daily, Al Bayan, the second song “Ili Imdawibni” (The One Whom I love), written by Khaled Muneer and composed by Rahim, will be filmed in Turkey under the direction of Jamil Al Maghazi.
The singer worked with a number of other prominent poets and writers for the new album, under the production of High Quality Music Company. It was revealed that Ehab is currently holding negotiations with a new production company but refused to give out any further details until a deal is struck.
Tawfiq has announced that joining the Music Production Company Rotana was a dream he had for such a long time, always feeling that it was the gateway to competing with some of the biggest name in the music industry. Ehab’s contract with Rotana is for the upcoming three years, in which the singer agreed to produce at least one new album per year.
Ehab noted that his move to Rotana was not a coincidence and that it was one of his major goals for some time. Ehab added that he carefully planned joining Rotana, because being part of the company means taking a major leap in his career. Tawfiq has received an invitation from the officials of Rotana to attend a celebration for the signing of his new contract, as was the case with Syrian singer George Wassouf and Egyptian singer Amr Diab.
Tawfiq recently held a spectacular performance at the Carthage Music Festival in Tunisia in front an audience of 15 thousand. The singer held his concert in a stadium that normally fits up to 12 thousands people, but due to the large popularity of the singer, people crowded in the stadium not wanting to miss out on the big event.
Ehab's concert was sold out two days before its scheduled date, and the organizers of the festival were forced to open the doors of the stadium 3 hours prior to the concert in order to allow the large crowd to enter. The singer performed a number of his new and old songs for a period of 2 hours and a half in front of fans who sang, danced and clapped throughout the event, which led the singer's tears to begin falling unable to overcome the joy of being so loved by all the people present. –Albawaba.com
