Rumors of an intimate relationship, which could lead to marriage, between Egyptian singer Ehab Tawfiq and MBC television announcer Carolina Di Oliviera have been splashed across tabloids and whispered amongst those in the entertainment world in recent weeks.
Carolina neither confirmed nor denied the rumor, believing the more attention it was given the more staying power it would have. To her disappointment the rumor kept circulating through the media, and sources claim one Egyptian producer plans on turning the affair into the script for a new film.
The escalation of the rumor led Carolina to break her silence and announce the truth behind the alleged love affair with Ehab, confirming that it is only a rumor.
Carolina asserted there is no connection between her and Ehab, reported the London based daily, Elaph. She explained that she is engaged to be married to a young diplomat who holds Brazilian citizenship, although his mother is Syrian. She described the rumors about her and Ehab as a violation of her privacy.
On a different note, Tawfiq is currently preparing to film a new music video for the song "Hubbak Alamni" (Your Love Taught Me), under the direction of Saeed Al Marouq. The singer has chosen Spain as the filming location for the new clip.
The song is part of the singer’s latest album, which has been witnessing significance success around the Arab world.
Ehab Tawfiq has left the production company ‘Rotana.’ His separation prompted several other singers to consider leaving, claiming that their popularity has decreased since they joined the company. Iraqi singer Kathem El Saher, who has faced a number of disputes with the regional director for the company since last year, may leave as well.
