Egyptian singer Ehab Tawfiq has denied circulating rumors that he is trying to convince a number of Egyptian singers to abandon production company ‘Rotana.’ “This is only a rumor, not based on any real facts, and it’s not my place to tell anyone which company is suitable,” asserted Ehab.

According to the Qatar based daily, Al Raya, Ehab said, “Every singer is mature enough to know what they want and what is to their advantage, which could mean staying with ‘Rotana’ or leaving.”

Ehab recently ended a three year contract with ‘Rotana,’ claming he cold not accept ‘Rotana’s’ policies, particularly the one demanding exclusivity.

He has has just completed filming his latest music video for his romantic song "Alath Kilmit Hub" (The Sweetest Love Word), directed by Yasser Sami.

ُEhab has also denied rumors that he is having an affair with the model that appears with him in the video. Ehab said that she lives in Germany and came to Egypt solely to work as a model. She was born to an Egyptian father and a German mother, he added.

Ehab recently participated in a concert held by a number of Arab artists in celebration of Yemen's ‘National Day’ that was abruptly halted, along with a live broadcast of the event on several music channels.

Chaos broke out in the audience, apparently angry that Ehab had finished his performance. Concert organizers reported that the audience began breaking furniture and throwing garbage, causing US$350,000 worth of damage.
