Egyptian singer Ehab Tawfiq has justified the recent attack he received regarding his latest music video for the song “Ahla Minhum” (Better than Them), which mostly consists of women in bikinis, was in most part due to the fact that most people thought it was inappropriate and extremely seductive because they had compared it to his previous religious song “Ila Rasool Allah”.
People viewed Ehab’s clip as contradicting moving from a religious song to an extremely seductive song, where emphasis is placed on models that are practically nude.
Ehab stated that the religious song was released during a specific time, in which it was meant to, and this new clip shows women in bikinis is due to the fact that it was supposed to be released during the summer but due to certain circumstances it was postponed until now. He adds that the theme in the clip is the work of director Fadi Haddad and he (Ehab) never interferes in the work and ideas of the directors of his clips.
In the clip, Ehab appears as a young man driving to the beach with his friends and sings to them along the way. Once he arrives, he starts singing to the one he loves. It took over a month to prepare for the clip and it was filmed in Lebanon. Miss Ukraine participated in the clip, along with 40 other models, most of whom were Lebanese and others from Europe.
