Prominent Egyptian singer Ehab Tawfiq has denied recent circulating rumors that he is guilty of not paying a phone bill during his tour in Australia and that his home has been confiscated. The singer stressed that there is no such lawsuit against him and the rumors are mere lies.
It was rumored that a court in northern Cairo had confiscated the home of Ehab for the sake of Abu Al Houl Arts Company in Australia, who had sponsored his tour in Australia. The court’s ruling is based on a fine of 10 thousand US dollars and 10 thousand Australian dollars for a phone bill to the hotel the singer was staying at during his tour in Australia.
It was revealed that the contract Ehab had signed with the company specifically states that his phone bill is an expense that must be paid from his own money and is not the responsibility of the company. The company also claimed that Ehab had broken the terms of the contract when he held a separate concert for a different sponsor.
