Prominent Egyptian singer Ehab Tawfiq revealed that he intends on making his debut into the cinema and is currently going over the script for a film called “”Rasa’el Gharam” (Love Letters), whom director Ali Idrees is nominated to direct.

It is revealed that both actresses Hala Shiha and Muna Zaki are nominated for the leading role of the film alongside Ehab, but the decision has not been finalized. Ehab noted that he intends on financing the production of the film from his own budget along with the help of his business manager Hussam Tawfiq.

Ehab stated that he had received numerous offers from different producers and directors for different film projects, but turned them all down stating that not one had a budget of over 3 million Egyptian pounds, which signifies that it will be of low quality, a matter that does not suit his first acting experience.

According to the UAE based daily, Al Bayan, Ehab has asserted that the success of his recent concert at the Carthage Festival in Tunisia is due in part to his ongoing efforts to always present what the audience wants. He added that the music he creates is the key to getting close to fans and through them he is able to achieve success.

Ehab was unable to hold back tears as he expressed his overwhelming joy at the crowd of people who came to see him, and who outnumbered the seats that were available at the arena where he sang.

“I will resign in approximately ten years,” announced Ehab during a press conference he held after the concert.

The singer stressed that he does not see himself remaining in the music business in the future, wanting to focus on his personal life, away from the spotlight.
