The famous Lebanese artist Elissa refused to host any live concerts during “Eid Al Adha.”
“I had nothing new to present to my fans,” said Elissa.
According to the Jordanian daily Al Rai, Elissa said that her next performance will be a New Year’s Eve celebration at the “Samiramis Hotel” in Egypt. She said that she likes being in Egypt and performing there because she has passion for the Egyptian people and they make her feel as if she is performing in Lebanon.
Elissa is preparing to launch a new album in December that will include a song by the famous Lebanese musician Marwan Khoury. Elissa worked with the music writers Fares Iskandar, Nader Abdullah and Siham Shi’sha’ on her new album.
She also worked with composers Walid Saed and Salim Salameh.
Elissa recently played a role in reuniting Lebanese artist Wael Kfoury and the president of the production company “Rotana” Salim Al Hindi at her birthday party, explaining that the conflict between the two had been fueled by the press.
Elissa denied rumors that said she is jealous of her colleagues, but admitted there is a great competition between her and other artists. She also denied rumors that said she paid to receive music awards.
She did not confirm or deny that she will enter the acting field in the future.
She also said that she was influences by the Lebanese artist Farouze and French artist Dalida, and that she wants to perform songs that will live forever.
Elissa said that she did have plastic surgery, but not on her face.
She said that the most important thing to her is her voice.
