Young Egyptian actress Muna Shalabi has recently encountered an emotional shock that led to a deterioration of her health forcing her to be kept bedridden for a few days at hospital. Muna refused to give any information to anyone regarding her condition and attributed a very bad diet spending her entire time smoking nonstop, which caused her blood pressure to drop drastically.

According to the Qatar based daily, Al Raya, Muna’s condition led her mother to immediately take her to one of the private hospitals to get the care she needed and doctors advised her to quit smoking and begin following a healthy diet.  Muna’s mother also refused to give any details regarding her daughter’s condition simply saying that she had advised her daughter to concentrate on her acting career, which is the one thing that will benefit her in the end.

On a different note, Shalabi had recently returned from London where she was on vacation with her mother, resigned actress Zizi Mustafa. Upon her return the actress began reading the script of her upcoming film “Syadet Al Qanoon Fi Ijaza” (Men of Law on Vacation).

In the new film, Muna plays the role of a lawyer, who takes on the case of two young men accused of stealing jewels from a wealthy woman, but in fact, they are innocent of such a crime. Muna revealed that she will not be taking part in any plays this season and has already turned down an offer for two.
