Lebanese singer Fadel Shaker is currently going through some very difficult times after his mother passed away last week. The singer’s mother had been suffering from cancer and after long journey of struggling with the disease she died.
According to the London based Elaph, Fadel was in London when the news of his mother’s death reached. He immediately flew back to Lebanon to take part in the funeral and requested his business manager to make a public announcement stating that he will not be holding any performances this summer due to his situation.
Fadel was very much affected by his mother’s death, especially since the two were very close.
His business manager will be releasing a press release stating the concerts that the singer will no longer be holding like the previously scheduled ones for the Tunisian Carthage Festival and the Jordanian annual Jarash Festival.
On a different note, the production company Rotana recently released a single for Fadel under the title “Ya Imsaharni El Laila” (You are keeping me up all night). The song is written and composed by Ahmad Al Sahrmi and the singer had filmed it in the form of a music video under the direction of Lebanese director Saeed Al Marouq.
