Rotana has chosen Lebanese singer Fadel Shaker to hold the first concert and officially launch the upcoming “Rotana 2005 Festival” on July 22, 2005.
An agreement was reached between the production company Rotana and the administration of the “Lebanese Style Festival” to have Rotana as its official sponsor; hence the new name “Rotana 2005 Festival,” according to the London based Elaph.
On a similar note, negotiations between Fadel and the administration of the Jordanian annual summer music festival in Jarrash have proven successful, resulting in his participation.
The singer agreed to hold his performance on July 29, 2005 and will perform his new music, along with a number of older favorites.
The administration would like to avoid last year’s mishap, which resulted in the cancellation of Fadel’s performances just a few days beforehand.
