Fares Karam wants his "Daddy" to go to Walid Nasif, Joe Bu Eid gets burned
Joe Bu Eid was all set to be director of the "Daddy" of all music videos. Lebanese songster Fares Karam had selected him to run ship the development of his hit song "Daddy" into a clip.
Now, at the last minute, the song scheduled to be filmed on January 7 and 8 will be directed by Walid Nasif instead. What gives?
According to the Middle East news portal Elaph, Fares denied rumors that he turned Joe down because the latter had set a very high budget for the clip, but deferred the excuse for switching things up to a difference in work schedules with the declined director. Hmm, there's more to that story, we're guessing...
That being said, Fares is one busy man with a unique schedule. He'll be holding a post-Christmas concert in Jordan after a live performance for Lebanon's "MTC". Then he'll be ringing in the New Year, singing alongside Najwa Karam at the Grand Habtour in Dubai.
It sounds like a full slate for sure, but he's gotta keep those vocal chords warm for his filming day, right?!
