Fierce British band Ferocious Dog heading to Bahrain this month
The event, at JJ's Irish Restaurant in Adliya, is being held as part of the band's debut Gulf tour that also includes a performance in Dubai.
The six-piece act features the talents of Dan Booth on violin, Kenny Bonsall on guitar and vocals, Dave Drury on bass, Kyle Peters on electric guitar, Ellis Waring on mandolin and Brad Drury on drums.
The Nottingham musicians have performed as supporting acts for bands including the Levellers and the Wonder Stuff since recruiting Mr Peters and Mr Waring.
They have also taken to the stage as headline acts at a number of UK festivals.
Mr Booth was looking forward to playing in Bahrain and shrugged off the thought that the band feared for their safety.
"Our families have been apprehensive but also supportive as we believe in doing these gigs and want to bring some joy among the disruptions," he told the GDN.
"We have played in other countries before but never in the Middle East.
"Myself and Kenny write the songs and when we perform we play mainly original songs plus a couple of covers too.
"Our music is fast and people go crazy at our gigs.
"If you put the Pogues, Levellers and Mumford and Sons into a pot you would come out with Ferocious Dog."
The band's performance begins at 9pm on March 18. Ticket prices are still being finalised.
