Forty Artists Participate in ‘Jerusalem Will Return to Us’ Opera
Forty Egyptian artists have just completed, on Friday, recording the Opera Al Quds Satarja’a Lana (Jerusalem Will Return To Us), at the Arab Satellite and Radio Channel (ART), which was written and composed in support of the suffering Palestinian people.
According to Agence France Press, all proceeds from the concert will go straight to Palestine.
The news agency also reported that more than 20 singers participated in recording this opera, including Hani Shaker, Huda Sultan, Midhat Saleh, Hisham Abbas, Anoushka and many more.
Meanwhile, the backup singers for the opera included a number of Egyptian actors, including Nadia Lutfi, Yusra, Athar El Hakim, Mohammad Hineidi and more.
The piece of art was written by Egyptian poet and scriptwriter Midhat Al Adl, composed by Riyadh El Hamshari and directed by Tarek El Eryan.
All participants have volunteered their energy and time in support for the current Palestinian Intifadat Al Aqsa, which has now been going on for 3 weeks.
Actress Nadia Lutfi summarized the position of her colleagues saying “our participation in this work is the least that we can do for the children and mothers of Palestine; in terms of moral support as well as financial support, which we expect to be high from this concert.” – Albawaba.com.
