Four Egyptian Films to Participate in Int’l Montpellier Fest
Egypt’s festival bureaucrats have chosen four films to participate in the formal competition of the International Montpellier Cinema Festival on October 26, according to the daily Al Sharq Al Awsat.
The participating films are: Al Asifah (The Storm), directed by Khaled Yousef and starring Yusra, Hanan Tork, Hisham Salim and Hani Salameh; Ula Thanawi (First Secondary Class), directed by Mohammed Abu Seif and starring Nour Al Sharif; Al Sharaf (The Honor), directed by Mohammed Shaaban and starring Jihan Fadhel; and Thail Al Samakah (The Fish Tail), directed by Samir Seif and starring Jala Fahmi.
The bureaucrats are currently preparing the videocassettes of the participating films to send them to the festival administrators in France.
Some 120 films from 30 Arab and European countries are expected to participate in the festival – Albawaba.com
