The German TV has sent a work group to Cairo to shoot a documentary film about the Sudanese artist Stuneh’s life history who is known for her folkloric songs and skills of henna variegation as well as her roles in a number of films.

“The producer Alfred Khwer from the German TV channel one, called to inform me that they had chosen me as an international artist who produces a special folkloric style, to film a documentary about my life history after the success of my songs in Europe. Of course I was very happy, and after one week the German film group has arrived in Cairo and the photographer Ferkank Raintek started filming under the direction of York Arm Bruster,” Stuneh told the UAE daily Al Bayan.

She added, “the film talks about my art life starting from Sudan till my fame in Cairo through singing, acting and henna variegation. These documentaries are very precisely chosen as there have been such films only about Mohammed Munir and Yusra.”

The Sudanese artist has recently finished filming her role in the star Adel Imam’s film Amir Al Thalam (Prince of Darkness), in which she plays the role of a princess who heads a tripe and moves them as she wants. This is her second film along with Imam as she played the role of a black American in the film Hallo America.

Her third film was Saaidi Fil Al Jamiaa Al Amerkiyya (Saaidi in the American University) starring Mohammed Hineidi.

Stuneh has returned recently from Indonesia where she participated in the World Music Festival and won the first prize.

These days, she is recording a new song composed by Issam Karika to be released after three weeks in Egypt and Europe simultaneously – Albawaba.com
