God almighty! What stopped Ghada Abdel Razek from committing suicide?
In a very shocking admission, controversial Egyptian actress Ghada Abdel Razek revealed that she wanted to commit suicide at the age of 32.
The actress said that she went through an extremely rough time at the time and fell into deep depression. However, her strong faith in God is the only thing that kept her from topping herself.
Also during her appearance on the TV show “Huna Asifa” (Here is a Storm) on New Year's Eve, Ghada told its host Lamis Al Hadidi that the year 2013 was a very successful one for her in career-wise, but that she was also subjected to cruelty on a personal level.
Discussing the “cruelty” she suffered last year, Ghada said that she was shocked with producer Maha Salim who stood against her in her dispute with director Mohammad Sami, and as a result of that she no longer speaks to her.
In addition, Ghada was also disappointed with actor Khaled Salim, who starred in her latest drama, because he took Mohammad Sami’s side in the disputes between Sami and Ghada. Sami had convinced the cast of Ghada's drama "Hekayet Hayat" (Hayat's Story), which he directed, that he made the wrong decision in choosing Ghada for its leading role.
According to the Middle East news portal Elaph, Ghada talked in depth about her dispute with Sami, accusing him of trying to create friction between her and the cast of the “Hayat’s Story” by convincing them that she had repeatedly tried to cut their scenes to make her role stand out more, which at the end turned out to be false rumors. Nonetheless, Ghada said that she was very pleased with the success of "Hekayat Hayat" and that what made it successful was teamwork.
Ghada described rumors about her disputes with director Khaled Yousif as “ridiculous” and stated that the two have made up now, adding that they’re now planning to work on a joint film in the very near future.
