It has not taken the Egyptian actress Ghada Abdel Razzaq long time to become well known through her appearances on the stage, TV and silver screen. Her fame after performance along with the renowned actor Noor Al Sherif in the series Aaelet Al Hag Mitwalli has even been widened.
The young actress has also played very well Princess Alia in the series Al Sirah Al Hilaliyyah in addition to playing the role of a Lebanese girl who is enthusiastic for the Palestinian issue in the series Siraa Al Aqwiyaa (Struggle of the Strong).
“Although I am a graduate of the British Academy business administration section, I loved acting. The first role, which the director Mohammed Abdel Aziz offered me, was subordinate actor in the film Lamadah starring Sharihan. Then I took part in the films Al Batal (Hero), Gamal Abdel Naser, Emraah Tahet Al Murakabah (Woman Under Supervision) by the late director Ashraf Fahmi and starring Nabila Ebaid and in the film Ana Wa Banati Fi Al Ziham (My Daughters and I in The Overcrowds). This is in addition to my roles in the series Bint Al Asyouti, Raehat Al Ward (Rose Scent) and Onoof La Tashom (Noses that Cannot Smell),” Abdel Razeq told Albawaba.com.
She added, “my first debut on the stage was in the play Mazzika Ya Mazzika by the director Hasan Abdel Salam and Ya Nakhlitain Fi Al Alali. Both plays belong to the show genre.”
Describing her role in Aaelet Al Hag Mitwalli, the young actress said, “it is an art turn and new role for me as I played Neamattallah, the textile merchant and the working class girl who got married to Hag Mitwalli and devoted herself for her love with him.”
Abdel Razzaq believes that the “old generations were luckier due to the small number of artists in contrast with these days. The old artists did not fight for fame and wealth but they played their roles enthusiastically out of their love for art which does not exist nowadays except in few cases.” But the TV, she added, “plays a very important role in introducing the new stars and giving many of them the opportunity. In general if you would like to know the original artist, go to the stage because it is the real measure for any artist seeking success and loving art for the sake of art.”
Abel Razzaq concluded that her eidolon is the Arab Screen lady Faten and considered acting with her as “a new birth certificate for any actor or actress.”
