Egyptian singer Angham’s younger sister Ghinwah went ahead and released a new solo single, despite Angham’s disapproval.  Ghinwah’s song was unsuccessful, although it received significant media attention.

According to the London daily Elaph, Ghinwah recently appeared as a guest on an entertainment show ‘Paparazzi,’ and she was wearing a Hijab (Muslim women’s head covering).

She introduced herself as the famous singer Angham’s sister and the musician and composer Muhammad Ali Suleiman’s daughter. She said that she wants to be a singer that wears a Hijab and dresses conservatively.  Ghinwah may have issues with her producer over her decision.

Ghinwah said that she has not seen or talked to her sister Angham for the past three years and she only read about her sister’s endeavors in newspapers and magazines.  However, she is close to her mother and father.

Ghinwah will release another song soon on an album that combines songs by a number of young and rising singers.
