The officials were hesitant to approve the broadcasting of many scenes in the drama showing Laila in inappropriate clothing that does not show any respect for the holy month, but despite their hesitation they finally approved to broadcast most of them. The drama includes many other famous actors and actresses like Izzat Abu Ouf, Hussein Fahmi, Sawsan Bader, and Mahmoud Qabil.

Elwi expressed her content about the success her new Ramadan TV drama series (Ta’ala Nehlam Bi Bokra) (Lets Dream of Tomorrow), in which she plays the role of Enji El Kashef, alongside Egyptian actor Hussien Fahmi, has received with a very high viewing rate. Laila stressed that the role took lots of efforts to perfect due to the fact that the series goes through three different stages of Enji’s life making it essential to be aware of the smallest details regarding the part.

Laila revealed that the working conditions she was put in were very dangerous, because she insisted on doing all the stunt scenes on her own, adding that she nearly suffocated while swimming with a plastic neck protector while shooting one of the scenes. The actress also noted that she actually went through a real life car accident with her colleague Hussien Fahmi to make one of the scenes appear more realistic.

She adds that she was fascinated with the complication of the character and the different phases of life the character went through.
