Global Village Festival negotiates with Nancy Ajram
Sources have revealed that the administration of the Global Village Festival in Jordan is holding negotiations with Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram for a concert performance.
The administration is hoping to reach an agreement with Nancy in order to have her perform instead of Lebanese singer Najwa Karam, who had apologized for being unable to attend.
According to the UAE based daily, Al Bayan, the organizers of the festival are in a state of despair over Najwa’s cancellation along with Iraqi singer Kathem El Saher’s withdrawal from the line -up. They are hopeful that Nancy will agree and compensate for the absence of the other singers, especially since she holds great popularity among Jordanians.
Nancy’s latest music video “Inta Aih” (What are you) is currently being aired on the satellite channels MBC, LBC, and Melody.
The clip marks the return of cooperation between the singer and Lebanese director Nadine Libky, who produced five of Nancy’s six clips.
For the fist time Nancy appears as a wife in the clip, who suffers from marital betrayal. The singer portrays the despair of a wife whose husband cheats on her with her best friend.
Nancy’s performance as a suffering wife was rather good, which raises the question of her entering the acting world.
