Haifa banned from Bahrain

The Bahraini Ministry of Communication refused to allow Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi to sing at a party held in the Bahraini capital Al Manama for the Muslim holiday Eid Al Adha celebration.

 According to the Saudi newspaper Al Watan, the Ministry justified its decision by stating that Haifa is considered to be an erotic dancer and singer who sings almost nude. The Ministry had in the past two years also cancelled concerts for both Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram and Egyptian singer Rubi for the same exact reason.

 On the other hand Haifa is getting ready to launch her new album "Sir Gharib" (Strange Secret) during the Christmas season and the New Years. The new album will be produced by Haifa herself. Haifa's new video clip "Hasa MA Bena Haja" (I feel there is nothing between us) will be shown on the music satellite channel Melody during Eid AL Adha season.
